W.H Auden wrote the poem "Musee des Beaux arts" in an abstract manner. I found it rather hard to follow. To be honest I read through it several times and
I am still not sure I have come to a conclusion about it's meaning. What I have come up with from some context clues is, it may be about points of view of suffering, and what it means to different age groups.
Brittany, what are the context clues that make you think that the poem is about suffering and different age groups? What support is there for your view.
ReplyDeleteAlso, take some of the tips and tools from today regarding critical analysis. Break apart the rhythm, sound, imagery, etc. Try to translate the poem into your own words and see if that assists you to figure out what it means.
